To access gitlab you need to visit CipConf and access the Point “Gitlab Kennung anlegen”. ATTENTION: You must use your Cip account to login in at CipConf to get the gitlab access.
The account information will be sent to the CIP eMail address. If a problem arises with reading these informations please use our webmail service on https://webmail2.cip.ifi.lmu.de.
Persons without a Cip account can gain access to a project by two ways. Firstly anyone can access a public project readonly and clone it too. Direct participation in the development is not possible in this way. Secondly a temporary external account can be requested from the RBG. This request needs to contain the name and eMail of the person who need access as well as the relevant project and the reason why access is needed.
Further tips can be found here.
gitlab2.cip.ifi.lmu.de runs under an Education License. This gives the users all the features of an Ultimate License. But it confines the usage to purely educational projects. Neither research nor administrative projects can be hosted on this instance. Students can host projects related to their studies and for private interests but not for commercial side jobs.
